Who We Are
The First Baptist Church of Hudson was founded in 1831 under the name of Gunpowder Baptist Church. This name remained until 1835 when the name was changed to Sardis Baptist Church. The name Sardis was changed in 1955 to First Baptist Church of Hudson.
The First Baptist Church of Hudson is a member of the Caldwell Baptist Association, the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina, and the Southern Baptist Convention.
We are a varied congregation of people from many diverse walks of life.
